I don’t normally share this article, because I had to change some personal details for privacy reasons, and as a result, it focuses more on the triumph aspects than the process of tackling challenges, and for some, that can rub people the wrong way even though that’s not my intention. But an incident related to this article occurred where I feel even more compelled to share it now. I hope you find inspiration in it.
Thank you for all your hard work & effort to help us become whole & at peace... teaching us how to escape toxic abusers. I am the "Warning Poster Child" of what happens when you fail to escape the abuser, though I tried everything possible for 30+ years. I now have Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer with Heart Failure... (And he never hit me...) My life, my dreams, my happiness, my independence, my career, my inner peace... were all taken from me; my only child became alienated from me via the toxic abuser's subtle yet powerful tactics.... using manipulation, silent treatment, baiting, gaslighting, financial abuse, too many to mention... The grief & severe depression I have had for so very long are infinite... the PTSD is too much to deal with... And there are too many of us whose lives were annihilated by the abusers....TO ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE I BEG YOU....PLEASE... PLEASE... TO ALL OF YOU WHO ARE IN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS...
