In movies and television, sometimes we see people root for certain female villains with morally grey backstories and situations. People love the “Cool Girl” speech of Amy Dunne in Cool Girl, or cheer on Daenerys from Game of Thrones even though their actions are abhorrent. But is there a reason why people root for the villain in these cases?
